150 years supporting the rural community in Essex

Founded in 1858, the Essex Agricultural Society (EAS) has been supporting and serving the rural community in Essex for over 150 years. With a membership network of over 600, EAS promote agriculture and rural industries through a year-round diary of educational and social events.

The highlight of the year for the society is their Food and Farming day at Writtle College where over 3,000 school children from across Essex come together to see and hear where their food comes from. As longstanding members of EAS Gepps Rural Team provide stewards to guide hundreds of school children around this wonderful event.

The following video speak volumes about the event and how it educates and inspires children from around Essex.
