Christmas Choir Success

12 February 2020

Last week, we were delighted to present a cheque to the Columbus School and College with funds raised by our Christmas choir.

Just before Christmas the Gepps Choir, singing in collaboration with the students from this wonderful Special Educational Needs School, treated shoppers in the High Chelmer to a selection of seasonal choral favourites.

Since the lunch time collection back in December, Gepps staff ‘topped up the buckets’ with further donations making a total of just under £540.00.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the school, Principal Karen Clark said “we know exactly what we will be spending this money on, a forest school and a muddy kitchen “. The forest school allows students to learn outside the classroom interacting with the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. The ‘muddy kitchen’ is a hands on sensory project for the younger pupils – it all sounds great stuff!
