The Friends of Essex Churches Trusts annual Gepp Lecture will take place at St Christopher’s Church, Willingale, CM5 0SJ on Wednesday 16th May 2018. We are delighted that this years lecture will be given by Lord Petre.

18th Barron Petre will be speaking on the experiences of his early ancestors being of English Roman Catholic faith who refused to attend services of the Church of England and thereby committed a statutory offence.

Previous Gepp lectures have included guest speakers the former Dean of St Pauls, Rt Revd Greme Knowles CVO, the former Archbishop Of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams and Lieutenant General Sir Barney White-Spunner KCB, CBE, former Commander of The Field Army.

The lecture will start at 8.15pm, preceded by refreshments from around 7.45pm. This follows the Friends of Essex Churches Trusts’ AGM at 7.15pm.

All are welcome. No charge is made for admission but it would help us to know if you plan to attend, by email to events@foect.org.uk, or daviss@gepp.co.uk .
