House prices rise 1.9% in a market that remains a little ‘subdued’

30 November 2018

According to a recent report published by the Nationwide Building society, squeezed budgets and uncertain economy is likely to continue to dampen the UK’s housing market.

The national average house price is now £214,004, 0.3% increase in November after zero growth in October.

Tightened household budgets especially around Christmas and New Year are likely to dampen demand in some areas. This is despite low borrowing costs and the official unemployment rate at a 40-year low.
